While you are here, visit the local sites of interest, go cycling on the local mountain-bike trails, or find a quiet river to catch a trout for dinner. Winter visitors to the area know the attractions of Mt Ruapehu's stunning skifields, where you can play all day before returning to socialise at the many Ohakune bars and restaurants, just a 5 minute drive from this lodge.
