Coco Lodge is easy to get to after a long day at the slopes, on the links or after enjoying the many bars and restaurants of Ohakune township.

 

There is a two-car garage and ample parking outside the front door.

 

For summer visitors, our 5 acres of green lawn is fenced into two large paddocks and a house section. The grass is kept short either by sheep or mowing, so you can enjoy the space, spread a picnic blanket, even light a bonfire.

The Waimarino Golf Course adjoins the rear boundary. Access is via Golf Course Road a short drive further along towards Raetihi. This championship 18 hole, par 71 golf course with a most recent NZGA rating of 71.9 makes it the third highest rating golf course in the Manawatu and Wanganui region.

For winter visitors there is a warming fire in the lounge, with oil heaters and electric blankets in each bedroom. On a clear day, the view of Mt Ruapehu is magnificent from the north-facing deck and rooms. (The Turoa skifield is accessed from Ohakune village or you can drive back to National park to enjoy the Whakapapa skifield and Chateau.)

The immediate house area is post-and-rail fenced with farm gates to keep stock out. The Makaranui Stream borders the rear of the property behind the boundary wirefence and backing on to the golf course.
